This procedure stimulates a vital point known as Sringataka Marma, and as the medication travels through the nasal passage, it exerts its therapeutic effects on the eyes, ears, throat, and other blood vessels along the way, helping to eliminate morbid matter or doshas from the head region. Procedure :-

1.Purvakarma (Pre-Procedural Routine): After preparing the treatment room, the patient, who is designated for the procedure, is seated comfortably in a chair. A head, neck, shoulder, and face massage is then performed using the prescribed oil, followed by light fomentation.

2.Pradhana Karma (Main Procedure): The patient is positioned in a supine posture with the head slightly extended. The tip of the nose is gently raised using the left thumb, and lukewarm medication is alternately poured into both nostrils.

3.Paschat Karma (Post-Procedural Measures): After the administration of the medication a gentle massage will be performed on the palms, soles, neck, and ears. Mild fomentation shall also be applied. The patient is advised not to swallow the medication but instead encouraged to lie down and expel the medication by spitting it out turning sideways, allowing any morbid matter to be released. This process will continue until all the medication has been expelled.
