pizhichil ayurvedic treatment

The term “Dhanyamala” is a combination of three words: Dhanya (cereal), Amla (vinegar), and Dhara (pouring). This procedure is a form of fomentation where the Dhanyamla or veppu kaadi, a liquid made by fermenting various herbs and cereals, is poured in a continuous stream over the body.

The aim is to address conditions primarily associated with Kapha and Vata dosha imbalances.Dhanyamala Dhara is a variant of Pizhichil or Kaya Seka, where warm medicated oils are typically used, but in this case, fermented liquids are employed. The procedure is effective for treating various inflammatory conditions and can be performed either as a full-body treatment or locally on specific areas of the body with or without Abhyangam.
