Elakizhi -patra pinda swedam

- Pradhana Karma (Main Procedure): The Pinda (herbal bundle) is heated with the prescribed oil. The therapist checks the temperature by applying it to the dorsum of their hand. Once the temperature is appropriate, the heated Pinda is applied to the affected areas in a synchronized manner, providing therapeutic heat and relieving the stiffness or pain.
- Paschat Karma (Post-Procedural Measures): After the procedure, the oil is wiped off the body using a clean towel. The patient is then covered with a blanket for 10 to 15 minutes to allow the effects of the therapy to deepen. A shower is recommended only = after 48 minutes (one Muhurtha) to cleanse the body.
